Today I propose a recipe for green tea and jasmine flowers sorbet.
I love tea in all its forms (warm, cold, cocktails or long drinks, whether alcoholic or not, or as sorbet), so even if this summer is not the most torrid one, a cup of tea with friends at 5 pm is always a good time.
Chatting and tea: what a better opportunity to enjoy a homemade sorbet with green tea and jasmine flowers?
Among other things, this type of tea has antioxidant and anti-stress properties, a real cure for our body.
Here is the recipe:
500 ml. of water
150 gr. of sugar
3 teaspoons of green tea with jasmine flowers (or 3 sachet)
4 gr. of stabilizer
Bring water to boil like to prepare a normal hot tea.
At boil, remove from heat and add sugar , tea infusion and the stabilizer; wait 3-4 minutes then strain the tea and let it cool to room temperature.
Turn the ( ice cream) gelato maker machine on and pour the tea in, then stir for about 30 minutes or until you see the sorbet perfectly fitted.
When ready, let stand in the freezer for about one hour.
You can taste it together with natural or acacia honey , so you can enjoy more of its unmistakable aroma.
One recommendation, a good quality tea is essential for the success of sherbet; I used tea leaves instead of the classic filters because I think it brings out more flavor, but it is not essential to the recipe, it’s just my personal taste.
See you soon!
