This recipe is basically that of a strawberry sorbet with cream.
It’s been one of the first tests I did with the gelato maker machine.
Taste is very “American style”, but it is real pleasure to eat it.
Fresh and light, with low calories, it is a good alternative to sorbetto.
250 gr. of strawberries (You can use frozen strawberries if You do not find fresh ones )
210 gr.of sugar
500 ml. of water
3 gr. of stabilizer
200 ml of cream
Measure water, then pour sugar and strawberries; blend well in a blender and strain through a fine-mesh strainer.
Add the stabilizer and the cream and stir again, put the liquid into the geòato maker machine and let stir for about 30/40 min. or until you see the a well mounted gelato.
Let stand for about 1 hour in the freezer.
